This made my morning, thank you. ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ And yes, thatโ€™s exactly what I was trying to do: let the rawness and the reflection hold each other without one swallowing the other. Glad it came through. Your words reach me too. :)

Ah what a well done essay Maria ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป For now I too am an angry woman. Very much done being made to stay small. Done sacrificing myself in relationships. Sitting with how much we seem to give away to be in relationships. Iโ€™m done. If I end up in a relationship again this guy will have to be a very very good one. Heโ€™ll have to make it easy for me. I donโ€™t have energy for compromise anymore.

Love that energy, yes!! ๐Ÿ˜ and thank you so much for your kind words, it makes me really happy to see that I am not the only one going through this anger and process of self-reclamation โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿฉต

i like angry Maria โ™ฅ๏ธ love your writing here. Itโ€™s raw, itโ€™s meta, itโ€™s honest. That small circle appears to be the right way to build safety. Rest will follow. Baby step! ๐Ÿซ‚

Meera ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ angry Maria surprised me too, honestly. She showed up and I just tried not to get in her way. And yes, the small circle. I'm learning that safety has to be built before visibility can mean anything. Thank you for being part of that. :)

Also something that i read that helped me in regulating sudden anger. You donโ€™t have to let go the anger at first, but the emotion that is trying to let go of anger/ the resistance to anger. Allow the anger to be there and since you already practice singing.. you can feel it in your body and then try to paint it the texture of sound through it as you let out a sigh or a small, simple note. It helps in regulation.. by unlocking breath. It also signals body that emotions are allowed inside sound/voice and helps itโ€™s energy to move through the body and then voice.

I do it when someone interrupts my practice and i get angry and then i get angry about being angry and not being able to focus ๐Ÿ˜‚

I really think and hope it helps you. ๐Ÿซ‚โ™ฅ๏ธ

โ€œHow to locate my desires. How to claim my desires, how to chase themโ€

โ€œDonโ€™t aim at success. The more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue, and it only does so as the unintended side effect of oneโ€™s personal dedication to a cause greater.โ€
